In June of 2003, the Mountrail County Medical Center opened a state of the art facility including a clinic and an11-bed acute care hospital with an emergency room. This new facility was attached to the existing 57 bed nursing home and congregate living facility. Visit their website at www.stanleyhealth.org for more information.

The Ina Mae Rude Aquatic Center although operated separately is also attached to the Mountrail County Medical Center. It serves as both a community wellness and medical therapeutic facility for the region and was the first recipient of UND's Charles E. Kupchella Preventive Medicine and Wellness Award.
